Had these in my front yard this evening. A flock of 11 hens and not a Tom in the bunch.

On picture #2 the second bird from the right is a jake. I can't see its beard but its head is too red and its feather coloring is too "bright" for it to be a hen.

That's his other leg. They all came a few feet for my living room window. I got a good look at them all.
