ST. CROIX’S RAGE SERIES BREAKS THE OLD RULES…
ADVANCED BLANK AND HANDLE COMBINED
WITH MICRO GUIDES
Park Falls,WI – St. Croix’s all-new Rage series of casting and spinning rods combine advanced blank design and
the latest, high-tech components to deliver incredible balance and sensitivity without sacrificing strength and durability.
St. Croix took a slightly different strategy with a micro-guided rod by downsizing the stripper guide, but not
reducing it to the micro size, thereby allowing for dramatically improved line flow. Rage also features an innovative
new handle that is manufactured by St. Croix. The Rage series consists of 12 casting and 5 spinning models with
prices ranging from $150-$170.

“We wanted Rage to be more than just a micro-guided rod and focused on significant handle innovation,” explained
Jeff Schluter, St. Croix’s vice president of marketing and sales. Built on premium, high-modulus SCIII graphite
blanks with Integrated Poly Curve® (IPC®) tooling technology, the new Rage rods feature Pac Bay Minima
stainless-steel ring micro guides that provide a 20-30% weight savings over ceramic guides and will not crack,
break or groove even with braided line. The Pac Bay Minima reel seats deliver maximum blank exposure with a
weight savings of 10-20% on the spinning models and 30% on the casting rods. The high-tech contoured handle
features a precision-machined core wrapped with a neoprene skin for maximum comfort and sensitivity. The neoprene
cover provides for a positive grip that actually improves when wet. EVA trim pieces provide additional refinement.

ST. CROIX AND KELLY GALLOUP CO-DEVELOP THE
HIGH STICK DRIFTER FLY RODS
Park Falls,WI – St. Croix and Kelly Galloup have teamed up once again, this time to co-develop a mini-series
of three specialized nymph rods named the High Stick Drifter. The new series includes a 10', 4-piece rod rated for
a #4 weight line, a 10', 4-piece rod rated for a #5-weight line, and a 9' 6", 4-piece rod rated for a #4-weight line.
Kelly Galloup is a well-known fly designer, outfitter, television personality, writer, seminar speaker and owner of
the Slide Inn on Montana’s Madison River.

The new High Stick Drifters are designed with super-lightweight tips, made possible by using high modulus/high
strain SCV graphite with NSi resin (featuring 3M™’s nano Matrix Resin) and a carbon-matte scrim. The unique,
lightweight tip reduces angler fatigue when the rod is held high for long periods of technical nymph fishing,
improves sensitivity for better strike detection, and contributes to the overall balance of the rod.

“This rod has more technology packed into it than any stick in history,” explained Kelly Galloup. “From the hook
keeper placement to the nano technology, nothing has been over looked; except the high-dollar price tag. They’re
also super-light in the hand yet made to handle a two fly system and an indicator with ease. They cast like a dream
and have the perfect tip for fast sets without snapping your tippet. Bottom line...These rods will set the new
standard in nymph fishing.”

The new High Stick Drifter rods are built on high-modulus/high-strain SCV graphite blanks and reinforced with
super-high-modulus SCVI graphite in lower sections for added power with reduced weight. Designed using
St. Croix’s proprietary Integrated Poly Curve® (IPC®) tooling technology, which produces continuous curve tapers
for one-piece performance in a four-piece design, and strengthened with Advanced Reinforcing Technology™
(ART™), which adds strength to the blank without adding extra weight or bulk, the new
High Stick Drifters are the most technologically advanced fly rods St. Croix has ever produced.

The High Stick Drifters are outfitted with REC® Recoil® snake guides and a Fuji® K Series Tangle-Free stripper
guide with Alconite® ring, and all thread wraps are protected by two coats of Flex Coat® slow-cure finish. The
handles feature lightweight, machined-aluminum reel seats with built in hook-keepers and flora-grade cork grips.
The rods retail for $430.00.

High Stick Drifters are handcrafted in Park Falls,Wisconsin, and are protected by a lifetime limited warranty
backed by St. Croix Superstar Service.
