Ice conditions have greatly improved and look to continue to improve. I have been finding 10-13 inches on most lakes with a few reports of 13 plus inches. Walleye have been most active near sunset in 8-12 feet of water. I have been using small Shiners under a tip up, and setting the shiner 6-12 inches of bottom. Northerns have been active all day in and around the weeds in 10 feet or less. Focus on the weed edge for best results. Use medium Shiners and set them high in the water column under a tip up. Pan Fish have been very good lately Crappie and Bluegill have been active and a lot of fun. Use a small jig with a wax worm or spike and work the entire water column, they have been suspending on most days. Look in two locations for the pan fish, first is deep mud flats in 15-25 feet of water. The second is shallow weeds 10 feet or less. Perch have been a little harder to find but they have been coming tight to bottom. When hunting Pan Fish use your electronics and stay mobile. Good Luck
