Ice fishing is getting going, if only the weather would cooperate. Wind and warm temps suck here. Was out Sat. did very well I will put a pic up for you, but the next day the wind blow out of the south and moved the ice out. The next few days it is suppose to get real cold and have North winds which will put everything back in place and firm it up. We have about 12 inches of ice on Little Sturgeon and are catching White Fish and Perch depending on where you are.
I will keep you posted and be careful if you go without somebody that knows the area and what has been going on.

PS. The open water was where I caught my fish on Sat. there was ice there then and the open water was on Sun. early AM. The ice you see way out there two fisherman stayed over night to fish Walleyes and came out of there portable and had to wait to be rescued by the Fire Dept. Boat. The ice in Little Sturgeon is way more stable and is about 12inches thick from the middle back.
