Rode the snowmobile around the lake yesterday and found an average 11" ice base. Thinnest was 9 1/2" , thickest was 12". And a couple of these measurements were 20 ft. apart. I was a little amazed at how many trucks I saw on the ice. Hopefully by next weekend it should be a consistant 12" or above. The constant I heard from all the anglers was fishing was a little slow. Our guests have been doing rather good especially on the northerns. Walleyes seem to have a one to two hour window of feeding activity at dusk. Panfish has been most successful over in Indian Bay. Also have had atleast 10 reports of muskies on tip-ups. Flying Flags to all!!

Good report Dave... thanks. Finding about the same things down this way, from ice thickness to the walleye bite. I'll try to get up that way in the coming week, we'll get our "buggy's" out on the ice for some fishin'. Got the ping pong table ready in the RFRG shack? Hahahaha!
