First trip out!!

I made my first trip out tonight off the yellow gate by the days river..... Well I took the wheeler and pulled my shack hoping to get to the center reef but didnt make it. I stopped and checked the ice every 50-75 yds and it varied big time some spots had 3" some 4" 5", well one time when I stopped the ice spider webbed big time right under the atv tire not fun yo watch, so I untied the shack and pulled it by hand another 500 yards. I actually had 5 1/2" where the shack sits. I went as far as I could but couldnt reach the center reef as there is a nasty pressure crack. Anyways by the time I got set up it was probably 4-430 marked lots of fish until 5:15 then nothing caught 5 perch took 2 home in 12 feet of water.


Lets hope it gets colder and the fish get hungrier talked to a few that fished the other side of the crack out by center reef all day they only caught about 10 perch!!!
