While the weather this week has been getting better and better to be out on the water catching some fish, the majority of the lake is still very muddy and looks like a milkshake. The mile roads from metro to GPYC has started to clean up and the perch are on...! This time of year is awesome for both perch and muskie. 15FOW out in front of GPYC yesterday proved to be a great spot and some nice size fish caught. Using typical spreader rigs and slip bobbers are all you need. Dont be afraid to move around to find them schools and take advantage. Remember anchoring off the stern to keep them lines straight can make all the difference in the world. Good luck and good fishing.! See Jackie at 9 mile BP and she will be able to get you some good minnows and all the gear you need. If you are heading out from the Selfidge area, see Jerry at Anglers Point Marina and Tackle and he will hook you up as well.

Love when those perch are bitting...!

Talked with a good friend who was out there off the GPYC last night for a few hours after work and they were bitting hard still. They managed around 30 nice jumbos in a short window of time. Gotta get out there while the action is hot...! Should be a great weekend of fishing.
