When to start using suckers? Fall fishing in general

Hey All-

I plan to make a trip in early October and I'm wondering what is the best presentation to use that time of year.

When typically should I be including sucker fishing into my arsenol? Is it dependent on water temperature?

What artificial lures best work in the fall? Bulldogs with a slower/deeper water retrieve?

Thoughts/Suggestions?!

Suckers are a good choice. Tryone of Fuzzy Shumway's new Clip And Go rigs. They have a much better hookup ratio than any I've ever used.

Jerkbaits,gliders, crankbaits, and Buldawgs are also good.
