Worked the weedbeds and shallow flats between Escanaba and Gladstone Friday evening. I was throwing musky baits looking for bigger pike, but only crossed paths with small ones. Landed three pike, with the largest being a 30 incher that t-boned an 8 inch Grandma bait. Also caught 17 and 18 inch smallmouth on Senko and a spinnerbait. Water temps in the bay were still in the upper 60's.
