I got a call from one of my customers yesterday about gill nets in the bay. No need to freak out. The Michigan DNR is conducting it's fall fish community assessment survey in the bay. They will be setting nets over night in various locations in the bay, through the end of the month. All nets will have large buoys marked "MDNR." If you have any questions, shoot me an email, and I'll forward the email and .pdf file showing the netting sites, the DNR sent me.
