This past week’s bass fishing has been good and we have had almost non-stop bluegill action to boot. We are still catching numbers and sizes per trip with a few pike mixed in depending on conditions and time of day. The size has been bigger with many over eighteen a couple over twenty inches while working the deep weed lines 13- 18 feet.
I have been having a really great time showing these younger anglers the joys of fishing with many firsts! They have stated that it was “the most fun that they have ever had! “ Thanks to everyone involved it was great fun for me too
We have been keeping it simple using a lot of live bait (crawlers, lg. Leeches) at times having double and triple fish on at one time. With more skilled anglers and the right conditions they have caught bass on Berkley 8” worms in purple, pumpkin seed Texas rigged, or a drop shot finesse worm, Our tip to better catches has been keeping your line tight for a better feel with a slower retrieve it was the key to catching more.
Over on Lake Geneva the Pike fishing has been good for numbers with a few big fish showing up and a few bass while working the deeper drop-offs.

Only a few weeks left before the kids are going back to school did you take a kid fishing it can be the most fun they have ever had!
