The Muskie fishing in the Mercer area has been very good for the most part in the past 3 weeks. Fish are moving on just about everything from topwater, bucktails, bull dawgs, jerkbaits, and crankbaits. Topwater and bucktails and have been the most consistent, but if action is slow don't be afraid to switch to a slower moving bait, if that doesn't work try smaller sized lures. We've been finding fish on both the inside and outside weed edges so be sure to try both, islands along with mid lake bars and points have all been holding fish. With water temps in the mid 70's fish are pretty active and willing to chase baits, so fish fast and cover a lot of water until you find what structures the muskies are active on for the day. Good Luck!!
