Haven't been up since our last visit (7/9-7/10). We drove up Saturday afternoon after a late night poker game and morning golf tournament, so our fishing Saturday was limited two about two hours in the evening before the electric conditions chased us off the lake. Nothing going. Water temps in the areas that we were fishing topped 80, so that always makes me a little edgy.
I fished bass Sunday afternoon for about three hours, boating about 15 fish and missing a few others. Largest was about 14", but great fun on ultralight spinning rigs with 4lb test. Transitioned to large baits in the evening, but no muskies on this trip. We hit about four classic (i.e. large) spots in about 2 hours. We saw water temps as high as 83, but main lake was right around 80.
Great, but short, trip, but we will be up plenty more times between now and ice-up. Keep the reports coming--it always helps bridge the gap between trips.
