I fished the river all day sunday from Tionest up above tidioutte, it was pretty hairy in a few areas to say the least. No fish, but tons of bait fish in the water just no action.
I know summer is a popular time of year for campers and canoe floats along this stretch but man they are just trashing this awesome stretch of water. The one group had beer cans and trash all over the banks, like they have been living there for weeks, not to mention the quarter sticks they were lighting and throwing into the water at 9 am while we were fishing, at one point i thought my motor exploded! I did however see the fish commision along with 2 state troopers enter a boat and head up river so maybe this situation was handled!
