Great weather with a few overnight storms did nothing to slow down the walleye bite. Most anglers are fising the reefs/humps and catching all the fish they want. Jigs/minnows are the number 1 presentation but spinners and other live baits are working for those that prefer that syle of fishing. Size and numbers of fish have been excellent again.

Muskies were a bit slow to start the week but started heating up by Wednesday or so. Weeds are the most reports structural element and spinnerbaits were the hottest lure choice this week. Others reported action on bucktails starting to get better as well as surce, jerk baits and crank/twitchers. Several large fish were caught from Wed-Saturday including multiple 48 and 46 inchers as well as a 49.5" fish early in the week.

Northerns have been their usual reliable selves up on Obabikon Lake.

Weather looks great for most of the coming week again. Reasonable winds, no major storms cells predicted. Stable weather means great fishing and the bite is ON!!!

It's an incredible time to be on LOTW. Come and see us if you can.

Hit the water at Mylies July-2 thru the 9th. We ended up boating 10 ski's with the largest a 49 1/2" coming on a bucktail and next largest 48 1/4" on a suick. Weather was pretty stable most the week, and had lots of sun which made the water temps rise 5 degrees or better to 76 average in alot of places. Water clarity was good all over, with minnows swiming everywhere.
Bucktails really seemed to be the lure to move the fish; and top water was slow for us. We caught one 38 1/2" a whooper plopper with a few have hearted attempts to react to our top water lures. We change our annual date to two weeks later next year which we hope will be all the better for consistant action. Thanks again to the fine folks at Mylies and your 1st class accomodations and service.
