Another good week of fishing in the Tomahawk area.

Perch was the hot bite with fish over 12 inches registered.
The flats on Lake Mohawksin gace up some very nice catches. Beaver tails on a brown and orange jig was the favorite treat for the Perch. Look for the Perch in 4 feet of water. Another trick is to use a saftey pin spinner with a small imitation crawfish retrieved just along the bottom.

This weekend should be a hot time for Bluegills, be sure to fish the shallows, use trout worms or waxies. Don't forget to give some poppers a try!

Crappie, we found them suspended over deep water structure, Tinsel tails tipped with a small minnow and a slip bobber. Use your locator to find wood or brush in deepwater and setup about 2 feet over the structure or where your electronics show where the fish are. You want your bait just above the fish, Remember Crappies like to come up to the bait.

Walleye action was decent on the flowages, they are on a leech and crawler bite now. Roadrunner jigs tipped with a leech is the ticket for good action. Work your bait just outside the weeds. Good reports below the Dams.

Finely some bigger Muskies this week, 2 nice fish this week a 47 inch and a 47.5. Both of these fish were caught below Kings Dam. Kings Dam must of been the spot for Muskies this week there were several reports of mid 30 inch to 40 inch fish caught. Reports on the lakes are Bucktails are hot.

Action by Bradley Dam seen some good catches of Pike, and some big ones again. Several over 35 inch and one that was over 40 inches. Use Mepps Bucktails.

Bass action remains strong, Spinners or Rapala's for Largemouths and Tubes for the smallies. Fish the weeds for the Largemouth and fish the stumpy or rocky points for the Smallies.

Good Luck
Dave
