Was out again on Sunday with my old fishing buddy and we found far fewer mayfly's than what was out there a few days earlier. Fishing nothing but shallow water with 1/16th ounce Reeves weedless jigs tipped with 1/2 crawler, we found limited action from the panfish, but the smallies were on a good bite and we also came up with our limits on some nice eyes. The smallies were holding tight to the shallow weeds and bogs, while the eyes were relating to the timber in as little as 3 feet of water. We never made it to the big water or the south end, so can't tell you if the mayfly's were still doing their thing out there or not, but the areas we fished we found just a limited number of them.
