i need to do a little catching up here so here we go.

6-20-11: Fished after work with lillte luck, caught one bluegill drfiting over bogs.

6-19-11: One bass in the Morning and 1 walleye ( 16 inches ) in the afternoon that i released.

6-18-11: One perch and one bass.

6-14-11: i caught 1 walleye and missed maybe three and my bro caught 2 20+ inchers and missed a couple also.

All fishing was done with leeches and either jigging them, dragging them, or slip bobber fishing. Does not look good weather wise tonight with these storms that are around. Tom, any advise on how to plan walleye fishing around thunderstorms? I was always told that they turn off for a few days after thunder but interested on what you think.

Hi Josh,

Best advise about a thunder storm is to stay inside and enjoy a brew. Thing about a thunder storm is that it is an unstable weather pattern. The Walleye bite always slows down from unstable weather. As the weather becomes more stable, the Walleye bite will improve. You can still catch them, just have to fish harder and smarter.
