Weather the past week was reasonable with a mix of everything... some wind, some rain and some sun! A couple days touched on 80. Since Muskie opener on Saturday - east winds, rain or cloudy and cool 60's.... weather is not making it easier and more of the same predicted later this week.

Lake temps really bouncing between mid 50's and low 60's on Kakagi (Crow) Lake... not expecting a warming trend until the coming weekend.

Muskie Opener - I think each boat caught at least 2 over 40" on Saturday - biggest 46". Some reporting best action on points and other saying back bays. Sunday was tougher bite, everyone seeing a few. New Muskie hot spot? -- one of our docks has 4 Muskies caught with biggest being 44"!

Lake Trout - were moving deeper last Thursday - Friday, but might be coming back a little shallower this week with the cool predictions. Bite ranging from 40' to 102'. Most of the Lakers Being caught are 4-6 pounds.

Bass - bite seems to be bouncing up and down on all the lakes. A few 5-6 pound bass from Kakagi. lots of 2-4 pound from Cedartree.

Northern Pike - catching enough and seem to go in biting sprees on all the lakes.... slow period and then 10-15 real fast coming out of a weed bed.

Walleye - not being targetted but a few caught.

Whenever we have 2-3 new groups in, we always worry more about the fishing because the big waters can be a tough learn for new guests. All three new groups struggled some, but fought through it to catch enough fish and leaving with the feeling they learned some things during the week. All three new groups are making plans to be back next year. Great job to all the new groups!
