Went out crappie fishing. Surprised by the water temp! 72 degrees. Crappies still surfacing on top of the water and moving around. Should be heading out walleye fishing later this week and report then. Oh yeah by the way, kept 7 crappies all between 9.5 - 11.5 inches with my sister in law catching the biggest at 11.5. Fun night!!

I have been fishing maybe a foot deep and using one of those mini mites. I also add a crappie minnow on the hook and that seems to work. They were not as agressive the other day as they have been but you can still catch a few. I use a white tail on my mini mite.
