Hey guys. I will be coming up this weekend and will be in search of a good walleye fish fry. I have never been on Banana Lake(secret code name), but it’s depths and contours intrigue me.

Can point me in the right direction on where to start on this lake? General vicinity of the weed emerging on the lake or other structure we should work.

Should we even go to banana? Let us know if Banana is not producing and we shouldn’t waste our time.

We are all ears, so share all the information that you feel comfortable sharing. Even other lakes and where to find them.

Thanks for pointing us in the right direction,

Todd from Naperville

Haven't been over there this season. I'd look for emerging weeds with a jig and minnow. Try the rock humps toward evening. I usually just fish for walleye there during ice fishing season. Open water is all about muskies although I've had some very successful bass outings there too.
