Saturday mornings walleye and panfish action was very good especially as the winds picked up out of the west and the shallow wooded shoreline's started taking a pounding. Working these areas with slip bobbers with a wire hook and 1/2 crawlers, my son and I were able to boat 4 good keeper eyes and 16 nice jumbo perch. For the most part, the fish were in depths of 4 to 6 feet of water in front of log jams and downed trees. Smallmouth were also very active as they were everywhere and were a real blast on our lite tackle rigs. We did try a few cribs before the winds picked up and had limited action from the gills, some very hefty ones at that, but we released them do to the fact that they haven't spawned as of yet.
Back out today, will keep you posted.
