One perch, one crappie, one northern. Not to bad for two hours of fishing except my bro and I were trying for walleye. Started using leeches yesterday and it was the first time i have ever seen a northern hit a leech. Tried a variety of depths. The perch was caught out deep 19-21 feet and both the crappie and northern were in shallower water 7-11 feet. Water temps were warmer 62-63 degrees. Will be gone this weekend but my bro will be fishing hard as his kids and wife will be gone and the weather forcast looks darn good. Needless to say i am a little jealous.

Hey Josh,

Walleyes are tough love right now, but it looks like if you find Blugills in deep wood, you will find the Walleyes with them. Another pattern that seems to be working is crank baits over the newly emerging weeds. As for live bait, leeches are working just as good as anything else.
