Spent about four hours yesterday hunting for the green monster. Ran my milk run once in the morning and again in the evening. Twin Island, Milwaukee Bay, backside of flat, and Cedar Tops at dusk-did not see a fish. Small (homemade) cowgirl, bucktails, and jerkbaits. Wrists were sore at the end of the day.

I did have a great time with my 11 year-old son catching crappies and perch. More perch than I have ever caught up here. Just seeing the look on his face when he'd exclaim, "I got one!", is worth it all.

Good Luck!

Paul

Minnesota Bay down to Horseshoe Island south shoreline. Based on the slow weed growth, they still may be found back in Minnesota Bay. They were mostly mixed in with crappies. Minnesota Bay tends to get choked-up with heavy weeds by late June.

Thanks for the report. Wish it was a better one for you but like you said, it was still fun catching perch. I kind of thought it waas going to be a wierd opener for muskies.
