Opening Week is turning out to be an excellent fishing week for most of our guests.

Jack Anderson landed a very nice 27 5/8 inch Walleye on Tuesday. He brought it to the Oak Haven docks where I was able to photograph and measure the fish, then Jack released it alive. (See Photo Gallery)

Steve Blakstad landed "his biggest Walleye ever" on Tuesday....a hefty 25 1/2 incher. (Also released alive) Jodi Blakstad, Steve's wife, has enjoyed landing many Bluegills in the 8-10 inch range several days in a row now. This is Jodi's first trip to Oak Haven and she too landed some nice Walleyes.

Other guests had me measure several Walleyes that were around 23 inches. In our first 4 days of the season, our Top Ten Walleyes are all in the 22 to 29 1/2 inch range. Not bad eh!

After a cloudy, rainy, windy May 14th....we've had 70 degree temps and blue skies ever since.
