spring is finally springing for us. been above plusses day and nite this week,a bit cooler this weekend but ice is pulling away from the shorelines, getting black and soft, a little rain and wind and it will go within a week/ 10 days. right on track for what historically would be a normal ice out.
all in all the more normal the weather, ice out,and resulting spring going into summer is the more predictable and steady the fishing will be.
we're really looking forward to a "normal" season after the past few that could hardly be called that. despite it fishing has been doing nothing but getting better yearly, literally exploding. with good water levels, normal ice out,etc we're in for a banner spawning year to add the the many year classes coming up already.the good ole days are a coming!!!
