Im planning a trip up to the three lakes chain during the June new moon phase this year. Just wondering if you guys think that is a good decision or should I have waited until later in the month. Also wondering if this is the best sight to find a guide. Id appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

For a Three Lakes guide I would highly recommend Jason Pertile. Have used hime for last 6 years and he has been great. Check out his web site under Wisconsin Guides on this site.

The full moon falls on June 15th this year. Typically the weed growth is comes up slower than the Eagle River Chain. I'm not sure why that is, but by the June 15th the weeds on the Three Lakes Chain should be doing well.

Jason is good on the Three Lakes Chain especially for bending the rod for walleyes, crappies, and panfish.

I would say you have chosen a good time to come to the Northwoods. The bite should be strong.
