smelt?

Was wondering about smelt reports? Got a couple gallons lastnight on a creek in manistique,was wondering about any other smelt runs?

I heard of a few being caught on "Nuns creek" but dont know where thats at.

Last night 10:30-ish I saw a truck parked along the Highway near Lake Bluff rd in Gladstone...two guys were walking along the shoreline with flashlights. Would they have been looking for smelt? Bait fish?

I know that spot. With the price of gas, I just can't justify an 80-mile round trip for something I can get in the store for $3.99 pound. If anyone hears anything closer to Esky or Gladstone, drop a hint or pm me ;)

They are looking for the gill nets they set the day before.........

Yeah isnt that just great that they can take hundreds of lbs per day full of spawning walleye and sell them? Its a terrible thing and I cant believe they can get away with it. I would love to see these guys get busted.

Was back in manistique thur. Night quite a few smelt along with anglers!!
