I've read so much about swimbaits for walleyes, but have never identified an approach to applying them out here. As far as daytime fishing, usually (when I do the best) the waves are 3 to 6 footers, so the only thing I can do to effectively fish (for the sake of boat control) is to troll boards, and if there isn't a good southerly, I don't have any confidence or patience to stay in one spot to stop and cast it. Swimbaits are supposedly a good daytime approach for catching post-spawn walleyes. Has anybody implemented these swimbaits in their arsenal out here? Not looking for specific spots or GPS coordinates, just looking to "expand my horizons" on LBDN. ....is it walleye season yet?????
