Does anybody know if route 3 is closed on south side of Chester?

I'm not sure either, but it would be helpful if someone who did would reply. I'll be heading over Friday. If none replies before then I'll let you know after then. River is at 27' at Chester, so I'm guessing that it is but I can't remember at what level the road gets closed. The bypass at the Mississippi bridge will surely be closed, but not sure if Route 3 is completely shut down.

According to the hydro information I just found on the Internet Route 3 doesn't close until the river hits 36' so we should be good. But I've made that drive to the lake for 10 years and it sure seems that it happens before then. Again, I'll leave a report Friday evening.

Sure enough the road is wide open. Water isn't even close as of Friday. 35-36' at Chester is when we can expect to see it get closed (actually closes in Rockwood). According to forecast for now we should be good. Bypass around Chester is open too if you come from Missouri.
