This is my second attempt to post this report. I don't know where the one I wrote last night went to - somewhere in cyberspace I guess.

Monday morning's short trip started with a search of the massive flats between Kipling and the reefs out in mid-bay. Monday's are often good due to reduced fishing pressure. Three of us tried different spots in depths of 11 to 30 feet. The best results came from about 20 feet where we found a place that gave up 6 nice perch from 10" to 14 1/2". We also lost two additional jumbos right at the hole. Of course we also caught small fish, but the "hotspot" produced more large fish. One bonus was a 25" pike.

We used the same tactic at each place: One minute of jigging a large, flashy salmon fishing spoon just off bottom as an attractor, followed by using two-hook hand-tied perch rigs, small spoons, small Jigging Raps, and similar perch baits. Large minnows on perch rigs did best, but small Swedish Pimples dressed with three spikes also worked well.
