Ice conditions are very good now, evidenced by the fact they're cutting ice blocks for the ice castle in Eagle River today. We're looking at 8-12in of ice in general on most area lakes. Snow cover has melted down and re-frozen making travel by foot or machine fairly easy. A 1-2in dusting of snow covers the ice, so be careful walking, it can be very slippery, use "creepers" if you've got them.

The bite continues to be pretty good for everything. Use shiners under tip-ups in 5-10ft of water around and over weeds. Try sucker minnows under tip-ups for walleyes on cloudy days, at sun rise/set, and after dark. Focus on 10-12ft and deeper breaklines or weed flats. Panfish are scattered in different areas depending on what you're looking for. Bluegills in weeds, use jigs and waxies. Crappies suspending over lake basins, use small crappie minnows under tiny bobbers or an excellent method: Tip-downs.

Be safe and good fishin' to everyone out there.
