heading up to the promised land on sat. for the first time.. been looking forward to it for years..thinking off to fish the reefs...targeting trophy eyes..any advice would be appreciated

Just based on what we've heard at the shop so far this season, you may be better off fishing the deep mud flats in the middle of the upper bay, if you're looking for a shot at a trophy. I'm not saying you can't catch one on the reefs, but you typically will run into far more dinks and eaters in those locations.
