My first fish of the season (early last week) was a 28" pike that hit a spoon I was jigging as an attractor for perch. It was released. This morning I caught lots of small perch with about a half dozen keepers. Most hit minnows, with wigglers taking second place. I'm currently north of Kipling & south of Yellow Gate. Plan to move further south with the ice.
