how is the ice conditions and if the fish are biting lately

Lots of ice 8 to 9 inches, lot of little ones.

Was out there today with the family...about 10+ inches of good ice. You have to sort through the little ones, but we kept enough decent eaters for a good feed. Fairly steady action, regardless--which the kids love.

Moon Glo ice jigs and waxies and spikes are what we were using...I'd imagine any of the standard fare would work out there.
