Theres 4+ inches out there now off the first yellow gate from Kipling. One pressure crack out there but its pretty good.

Days River ice access. Northwest end where Days River comes into the bay.

It can be a little confusing since there are two access sites close to each other that both have a yellow gate. Generally when people refer to the "yellow gate," they are talking about the one south of the Days River bridge. It's also known as the "Whitetails access" because it was made by Whitetails Unlimited. If you have a Fishing Hot Spots map of LBDN, it's marked with the letter "G."

The yellow gate just north of the Days River bridge is simply called the "Days River access." There's a parking area for a DNRE X-country ski trail, along with the access to the bay. It's letter "H" on your Hot Spots map.
