2-4 inches covers the entire Phillips Chain. First ice Walleye bite is ON. There is a large cold front moving in tonight with a good chance of rain so I'll keep you posted on what it does to the ice. Even if this front takes out some ice, the next week is going to make a lot of ice with dropping temperatures. For ice safety this time of year, I recommed: wearing a life jacket; ice cleats for your boots; ice picks so you can pull yourself up in case you fall in; and never fishing alone.
