Well I think the end of open water season is in sight, We just got what should be our last load of musky suckers in for the 2010 season and they are some of the best looking ones of the season 13 to 16 inches. The water temps are sticking right around 40 deg with some cold weather on the way. The walleye fishing is still great and we are still picking them up in shallower water, I'm not sure why we haven't had to go deep for them yet. The only thing I can think of is the amount of water that is running thru the system has something to do with it. Crappie are mixed in with the walleye and seem to be over the softer bottom areas. The pike action has been hot, we are catching them while fishing for walleye or musky. Pictured is a 39" x 17.5" Northern that I caught and released while Musky fishing a few days ago. All of the fish seem to be going for the slower moving slow falling baits right now. Live bait or larger plastics have been my choice. For Walleye we have been using 1/8 and 1/4 ounce jigs with 3" or 4" curlytail grub (Yum is my choice) or just a jig with a xl fathead. For the Musky and Pike a large sucker is still their choice but we are having good action on Mag sized swimbaits and weighted jerbaits like the 9" Bobbie Bait.

Good Luck on the water
