Hey Guys, this is Cath em Cathy from Aquatic Arts FIshing Pro shop here in Tomahawk. This cool down has dropped water temps dramatically and sped up the walleye and musky bites here on the local flowages and lakes. Walleyes have been hitting steadily, the bite seems to have really gotten hot yesterday. Reports of keepers have been coming in from all over the area. Below the dams, vertically jigging rattlin raps and zip lures has been hot!! Casting Floating Rapalas and shad raps along the weed edges in the morning and evening has been great as well. Vertically jiggin XL fatheads on leadheads during the day has been proving to be agreat method.
Bass have still been fairly active as well. They seem to have moved away from topwater with this recent cool down, and are hitting steadily on shallow running crankbaits. Manns Baby 1 minuses, Bandits, and Shallow runnning Shad Raps have been hot along with Rebel artificial crawfish. Cast along weed edges and rock bars. Now that fall is approaching, redtail chubs have been hot for these bass if you prefer jiggin or slip floating live bait.
Muskies have been picking up since the cold front, and we have been selling alot of musky suckers. Soak these with a harness for a great return!!!! Glide baits such as suicks and hellhounds have been hot. Anglers have been moving to Bulldawgs as their lure of choice as well. Be sure to dress warm if your heading out on the water!!!!! Thats all for now, this has been catch em cathy with your area fishing report!!! Check back in a few days for the latest fishing info.
