Lake Mendota fishermen are still finding perch along the weed lines in 10'-12' of water. While there have been some nice finds, they are intermingled with a lot of smaller catches.

Lake Monona bluegill anglers continue to have good success on suspended bluegills in 35' to 50' of water. Look for these fish to be active 15' to 20' from the surface. Some areas to look include between Slueter Beach and Wyldehaven, as well as north of the Rock Pile at Squaw Bay, and across the lake to the Stacks. Musky reports have been slow but as we approach late summer and early fall, action should start to pick up. Large mouth bass action has continued to be spotty, with most of the action occurring on the deeper weed lines.

Mud Lake has been producing some suspended bluegills over the Dredge hole.

Lake Waubesa reports continue to be spotty in nature. When bluegill reports come in, they seem to be most frequent along the deep weed edge in front of Babcock Park. Residents on the lake shore have reported walleye action after dark between the piers.

Lake Kegonsa bluegill and perch reports have shown more activity on the weed lines in 8'-10' of water.
