weather has been up and down last few weeks,2 weeks ago hot, flat, water temps 75+,this week started out with a cold front, rain, windy,50-60 degrees ,water temp dropped to 65 in 2-3 days, turned to decent weather by wed,now water temps are slowly steadily rising so everything should level out.
jeff boated a 53,moatsy's group a 53.5,51.5,some 42-45's,kalmucks a 49,48,some low-mid 40's,hoffmyers 2 48's,all groups fishing muskies had some low to mid 40's with chances at big fish.
generaly but not specifically fish seem to be active more in the weeds when it's hot and sunny and more active on the rocks when darker and or dropping water temps but both patterns need to be searched daily and through the day as they are using both. when we went through the cold front it was cranks, minnowbaits, dawgs, but still had to throw a blade in the boat,as it warmed back up that preference reversed but still had to play with cranks and dawgs.
weather for the next week appears to be fairly stable with 70-low 80 degree temps.
looking forward to seeing the group ,spending time with all,and sticking some hogs.
see ya next week!

if you have a walleye,cisco,blk/org you will have things covered, there's a bunch of diff patterns available but these are staples and pretty much cover it.
i would say your first trip it would be best to go into dryden by taking a right at the T (do not go left at the T that the sign says to hwy 17 it will take you through the long way)and take 17W to our signs just east of vb.recomended if you are pulling a boat.
however there is a short cut. take ojibway drive south of dryden to 594 to eagle river, take a left at the T,cross the bidge and bear right ,follow to our signs.much of it is gravel but a good road.
