Got a little behind in fishing reports.
Walleyes fishing was great early in the week. Our big group from IA had some awesome fishing with walleyes up to 28 inches.
Some members of the First Wis Chapter of MI had their annual week of muskie hunting. With 3 boats fishing for the week, the total landed was 31 so much slower than they are used to, but they had plenty of followers that only looked and didn't buy. Weeds and rocks as well as combinations of the two all produced nice fish. Single bladed bucktails (OLD SCHOOL!!) worked well early in the week and some topwater in the evenings had some action. Black and orange was a good colour again.
A night of fishing from 9pm to 1:30am was uneventful for myself and guest/friend Len R from the Chapt 6 crew. One of these times we're going to bag a biggie during our now annual nite hawg run!
