Hello again everyone, this is Catch 'em Cathy from Aquatic Arts Fishing Pro shop with your friday fishing minute update. With the humidity subsiding these past couple days, hitting the water has been a much more enjoyable experience. Muskies have been very active this week with several registered at Aquatic Arts, Muskie Guide Ken Mack Boated a 50 1/2 and a 45 inch tiger Muskie Tuesday with his clients. Walleye anglers are still doing well in the early morning or late afternoon hours, Rapala rattlin rapalas are the hot bait. Fish these baits in 6 to 10 feet of water. Walleye's from 24 inches up to 29 inches were registered this week at the shop.
Bass are hot for garlic scented tubes, work the wood structure for smallies and the 4 foot weed edges for the largemouth, remember to rig the tubes weedless when fishing the weeds.
Pike action remains strong and Mepps Spinners are still the lure of choice, get out there and catch some, they are a blast! All you have to do is fish the outside weed edges in the late morning hours.
If you are after Bluegills, use small jigs tipped with a wax worm below a Rocket Bobber, fish the deeper weedbeds! The Wisconsin River is the hot spot this week with a 11 1/2 inch monster caught on Thursday.
Crappie fisherman are catching some nice sized slabs on number 3 Rapalas. Just fish the brush piles or fallen trees in the evening hours, you're sure to catch em!!
