Dr. John Joven

I had the pleasure of fishing with Dr. John Joven of Indianapolis on Sunday evening and Monday morning. We started out Sunday fishing on the river for walleyes and smallmouth and as usual, the river did not disappoint. John caught fish after fish with a number of legal walleyes. It seemed like every spot we stopped, John was catching legal walleyes. All of our fish were caught fishing log jams using weedless jigs tipped with nightcrawlers. Monday morning started out rainy as we hit the water at 5:00 a.m for muskies. With the rain lasting all morning, we moved a number of muskies but they did not want to eat. We were casting Slowies, depthraiders, and top waters. Monday night, John headed out with Adam Rasmussen and at last report had put a 38" musky into the boat. I had a great time fishing with John and look forward to his return visit next summer with his boys. Take a kid fishing
