I just want to take a minute to thank everyone who had the time and the good will to make it to this years youth event to help the kids. If you were not able to attend, you missed one of the better ones. The weather was a little warm but tolerable and the catfish were in a biting mood, fish were being caught frequently. They bit so well the snapping turtles even got into the act. We had approximately 70 kids show up and it might have been a blessing in disquise that a scheduled busload of 30 more didn't make it. We ran out of most food, drinks and bait but we went for more drinks and used some leftover sausage for bait. That's what the turtle couldn't resist.
