Only recieved 1 inch of rain today, combined with the past month of 6.4" accumulation, the lake level has risen approx. 6" as of today. Fishing has been above average for this time of year. The only missing species in the bucket are the quality perch. That will hopefully change in about two years based on the quantity of 3-4" seen since early winter. The musky have been extremely active this year. In my ten years here, this is the best reporting season so far. Keeper sized 'eyes are running 20-40% in the toal catch. Panfish are everywhere. Crappies usually found in 12-14 fow.
Way to GO - Andy Holtz with his CPR'd 40" Northern. Our first 40"er here at Wind Drift.
A Reminder - for those who are using the Misery Bay launch, please obey the sign, "No Power Loading". All it is doing is blowing more sediment/rocks and piling it up 70-80 ft. from the launch, which still requires tilted motors til you see the bottom start to deepen.
