A few days the past week were hampered by strong winds and some passing storms but most of the week was normal late May weather - 60 to 80 degree highs. Kakagi (Crow) lake is mostly 55 to 60 degree water with LOTW running 5-10 degrees warmer.

Northern Pike were the most sought after fish during the week. Some mid 30" caught, nothing huge and not jumping in the boat. Took a little work to find a school of them but when you did... plenty of fun! Stevens Bay on LOTW was the most action this past week.

Walleye action on LOTW was reasonable with limits being pretty easy to find. A 29" walleye was best of the week.

Crappie action on LOTW was ok... a little work to find and stay on the schools, but 13" and 14" crappies were frequently caught.

Some Jumbo Perch were caught, mostly on accident.

Lake Trout - a few were found trolling, some jigging and some bank fishing. A 12 pound trophy Lake Trout went home for mounting this week! Lake Trout are scattered, which is very normal for this time of year.

Bass - only a few being found shallow on Kakagi, so not really coming in for spawn yet.

Muskies are starting to show up for spawning.

Expecting we will start finding some really good June fishing soon.

LOTW weeds are coming up... not delayed like we encountered last season.

Regards,
