The walleye for the most part are scattered, it's one here and one there, no certain depth is the magic number. On Thursday, my clients and I done a morning trip and were faced with light and variable winds. We tried about all you try in 4 hours and managed just 3 eyes, one in 6 feet over rocks, and the other 2 came out of 9 and 12 feet of water over laid down wood. Yesterday, my clients and I done an afternoon trip and we at least had a good wind blowing out of the south east. Started out drifting and vertical jigging Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fatheads and found 1 nice eye along with 1 jumbo perch in 12 to 15 feet of water and over wood. We then found another good eye in 6 feet over wood once again. Our next eye was taken out of old coontail in 5 feet of water. Our last eye and 4 more good size jumbo perch came by vertical jigging over a crib. Starting to see the smaller size mayfly's popping up out there, might be the year we actually see the big hatch in May.

Back out in a few days, will keep you posted.
