Our pre-walleye opener group headed out into the northeast wind and rain/snow flurry combination yesterday to bravely search for some spring crappies.
They managed to find some crappies in Miles Bay in about 30 feet of water on Friday afternoon. The Hay Island area was a bust on Saturday morning in nicer weather.
We'll see how they fare the rest of today and tomorrow and hopefully have a few of the first photos of 2010 to share.
One week til walleyes open and the weather forecast is looking good. Keep your fingers crossed!
