Hi everyone,

here is Jenks current fishing report. Jenks is located on Highway "B" near the intersection of "CC". Wednesday, May 5, 2010
================================================== ==========

Walleye:
Walleye fishing continues to be ok, and the best action still sounds like it's on minnows in 17 ft or so.

Crappie:
A lot of crappie catches in the shallow bays on minnows. With the lake being down it makes some of those bays a little more of a challenge. I hope the weather doesn't push them back out.

Panfish:
Not too much going on yet--still a little too chilly, but you can always find some around the weeds.

Weather report

Sounds like a little bit of a mixed bag with a lot of ups and downs. Fri is not going to be a very nice day--chilly and wet. Thurs and Sat sound ok--around 60 and dry.

Water level

The lake is still a little over two feet down. It would help if we could get some rain but once again, the last two weather systems missed us.

Water temperature

Still generally in the upper 50's but that may suffer a little in the next couple days before the next warm up.

Walleye Challenge

Don't forget that this weekend is the Treeland Walleye Challenge.
As of this morning I think they still had a couple of openings.

Enjoy the weekend everyone.

Hey Maxx, my wife and I will be camping next weekend on Wagon Wheel Island. Are you familiar with that part of the flowage at all?

Hi JRN,

I'm not to familiar with that area, but I suppose I'll hear you singing so I'll find you. Have a big camp fire, cuz it's gonna be cold.

I'll sing super loud "The Legend of Walleyemaxx!" I am really hoping the weather straightens out for our trip.

Hi JRN,

I was reminded by my better half of a prior committment I have for this weekend. Looks like I won't be able to make it over this weekend.

Check out my weather page. It is calling for total accumulations of 2-4 inches of snow by tom. morning with very cold temps. Better have the campfire IN the tent haha. looks like I better start up the snow blower to make sure it runs.

Post your results of your fishing here JRN. And I hope the weather doesn't get that extreme. Good luck.
